virtuAMP is an open source real time virtual guitar amplifier for your home computer. virtuAMP provides an intuitive interface for customizing your sound through a virtual pedalboard, which behaves as your existing guitar rig does, allowing you to place effect pedals, connect them using cables and control their sound using their controls. Your guitar connects directly to virtuAMP through your sound card's line in, making virtuAMP a good substitute for a practice amplifier.
Screenshots: Audio Samples:Each of these audio samples were captured by virtuAMP from my guitar (a Fender Stratocaster) connected directly to my sound card. No post processing was added, only Audacity was used to convert the .wav file to .mp3.

coz my standard guitar to amp lead wont go into my sound card (Durr :P)
I know my mate has this wierd thing you put on the end of your jack to turn it into a 2.5/3.5mm jack instead which would make it fit, but i've no idea where to buy one, how'd you plug your guitar in nem?
Loving all your tools btw, just registerd.
I have
AMD Athlon 64X2 dual core 4200+
2GB of Kingston RAM
Biostar GF 7900 GS
Biostar TForce m570 motherboard( i use integrated soundcard)
Realtec Audio drivers(newest)
And Ibanez RG (Japaneese) with Rolland custom humbuckers and 0.10 strings.
love your virtuAMP. I am working on a program similar to yours. I am using ASIO audio drivers for even lower latency than in virtuAMP. So my question is what literature did you use to write a functions like reverb, distortion, flanger...? Is there some site with math formulas what to use?
Thx in advance
The source code for virtuAMP is also available, you may want to look at it.
Added to version 1.2.1.
